Emily advises for exchange and direct enroll programs in Asia (China, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey) and Europe (Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland).
Emily received her B.S in Human Development and Family Studies from Kent State University and holds an MAEd in Leadership in Higher Education from Baldwin Wallace University. She studied abroad in Florence, Italy for a semester during her sophomore year.
Her love for travel began when she spontaneously decided to study abroad in Italy. Since departing for Florence, Emily has travelled to thirteen countries, discovering the wonders and intricacies of other cultures. After returning home from her travels, Emily's excitement for exploration developed because of the guidance of the study abroad advisors at her alma mater. She began her Masters program with the hopes of eventually working in global education and is excited to be at Purdue- helping students achieve their study abroad goals.
Studying abroad is an impactful opportunity to explore the world, learn about yourself, and gain appreciation for what makes other cultures unique. Emily is thrilled to be able to support students throughout the process, and looks forward to seeing the amazing experiences students have abroad!

She holds a B.A. in International Studies and Spanish from the University of Southern Indiana and a M.Ed in International Higher Education from Loyola University Chicago. Chelsey studied abroad for a semester in San José, Costa Rica and for shorter programs in the Dominican Republic, Greece, China, and Italy.
Chelsey’s very first time on a plane was to fly to Costa Rica by herself to study abroad for a semester. As a first generation college student, she thought study abroad would be out of reach for her – but with the help of a study abroad advisor, a few professors, and some scholarships, she was able to realize her dream. Now, her favorite part of the job is helping students overcome their own obstacles to turn their study abroad dreams into reality. She also runs Flying 101 workshops for students who are new to flying, as well as a returnee workshop to help students figure out how to leverage their experience on their resume or in interviews.
Alaina advises for exchange and direct enroll programs in Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. She also works with incoming exchange students from partner universities in Asia and Europe.
Alaina studied Theatre at Valparaiso University and the Ohio State University and holds an M.S. in Higher Education from Purdue Global. Her study abroad experiences included a semester in Cambridge, England and a spring break British Theatre and Culture intensive in London.
Prior to joining the Purdue Study Abroad team, Alaina worked overseas with the Cambridge program she attended in college. While there, she completed a DipHE in Theology through the University of London and traveled as often as possible.
Since study abroad can be meaningful to different people in different ways, Alaina's favorite thing about advising is getting to know students and their goals. She enjoys helping them find the right program and make the experience their own.
