Length of time at CHL:
Before coming to the CHL in 2011, I started working as a phlebotomist at Franciscan Health in Lafayette, Indiana. I worked as a phlebotomist while I was pursing my nursing degree. After obtaining my nursing degree, I started working inpatient at Franciscan Health on the surgical floor. After one year working inpatient, I decided to pursue my degree further, working toward my masters in nursing to become a family nurse practitioner. After graduating in October 2017, I started working as a nurse practitioner at the Center for Healthy Living.

Why do you like working at the CHL?
Working at the CHL has been a privilege. I enjoy the patients that I see and the staff that I work with.

Philosophy of care:

Providing quality care is important. Providing compassionate care is important. Providing consistent care is important. The care that I provide to my patients is the same care that I would provide to my family, and also myself. It is my goal to prevent, treat and conquer any problems my patients have by working together as a team.

What do you like to do when you’re not at the CHL?
I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. We often go to the lake to swim, boat and relax on the weekends. We also enjoy working on projects around the house. We seem to always have a new project in motion, and this keeps us busy. The children play sports (baseball and gymnastics), so we spend a lot of time outdoors cheering on our gymnast and baseball player!

Fun fact about me:
“Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it... The time will pass anyway.”
