Diana Flores is the Captain and Quarterback of the World Champion Women’s Mexico National Flag
Football team. Working alongside the NFL and the International Federation of American Football (IFAF)
as the sport’s Global Ambassador, Flores seeks to advance Flag’s reach internationally as a way to
continue breaking gender and cultural barriers.
Flores developed an interest in sports at an early age. Her love for competition and athleticism
eventually led her to discover flag football, a sport she fell in love with at the age of eight. Flores has
represented her country since 2014, when she first earned a spot on the national team at the age of 16,
becoming the youngest player to compete at the Grosseto Italia IFAF world championships.
Since then, Flores has competed in numerous national and international tournaments, representing
Mexico on the world stage. She has won several awards and accolades throughout her career, including
four National Titles since 2017; the Bronze World Cup Medal in 2016 and the Silver Medal in 2021.
Additionally, she was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the 2022 World Games.
Aside from her achievements on the field, Flores also earned her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and
Communication at Tecnológico de Monterrey, graduating with Honors and is currently earning a Masters
in Enterprise Innovation Development. She is also a devoted coach and has been an instrumental figure
in driving the growth and popularity of flag football in Mexico.
Flores was most recently the Offensive Coordinator for the AFC at the 2023 NFL Pro Bowl Games and was
the featured star in the NFL’s Super Bowl LVII advertisement, “Run With It", which won an Emmy in the
Spring of 2023.
