NAECC Facility - Our Center
A two-story white house occupying 3,200 square foot, the NAECC provides a safe, inclusive learning space for students, faculty, and staff to gather to study, meet friends, host office hours, and to attend cultural programs.
Welcome Area
First point of entry into the Center, you can find a place to relax, watch TV, visit, and soak in the inter-tribal artwork displayed throughout the room. A university supported work station and a charging station are easily accessible. This room can be converted into a meeting space with tables, chairs, and TV monitor available for multimedia presentations.

The Map Room – Multipurpose Room
Five maps highlighting Indigenous land in North and South America continents serve as a focal point for educational tours. This multifunctional space is available for classes, seminars, meetings, cooking demonstrations, or presentations and for smaller gatherings such as study space, lunch, or informal meetings.

Kitchen
Fully functional kitchen is ideal for cooking demonstrations and special events with ServeSafe certified, NAECC staff. Microwave, refrigerator, and coffee station are open for campus community.

Gender-Inclusive Restrooms
First floor restroom is gender-inclusive and handicap accessible and the second floor is gender-inclusive.
Computer Lab
ITaP supported computer lab including four computer stations and a print release station.
Room capacity: 6 people
Office
Space used for faculty, staff, and GA office hours or tutoring sessions, one-on-one meetings, or individual study rooms. Reservations are required.

Library
The library offers a collection of books, children’s books, audio-visual materials, and magazines focused on Native American topics. The NAECC library catalog is accessible through TinyCat. This space includes table, chairs, and couch available as another study area.

Conference Room
Space available to small meetings and individual study space. Room is equipped for teleconference meetings.

Lawn
Outdoor green space in the back of the building available for meeting area, study space, and outdoor activities.
Cultural Centers outdoor study space is available behind the NAECC under the tent in the AAARCC’s lawn area.
Parking
Private parking for NAECC staff and faculty only. Handicap parking is available for visitors to the NAECC, AAARCC, or LCC only. Additional street parking is available on Fifth Street. Visit the Purdue University Parking website for university parking map and additional information.
