Student employees account for over one-third of the workforce at the West Lafayette campus. These students not only support University operations, but they gain valuable skills and experiences that contribute to their career readiness.
On January 2, 2019, all Purdue student recruitment and onboarding activities moved to SuccessFactors. Employers, prospective employees, and current employees will utilize the SuccessFactors system for their job search needs.
Other Employment (including Professional Positions & Internships)
The Center for Career Opportunities (CCO) serves as the centralized Career Services office for the West Lafayette Campus of Purdue University. They offer multiple services for undergraduate and graduate students, alumni, employers, faculty and staff. Employers recruiting for part-time positions, professional positions and internships outside of Purdue can work with a designated employment coordinator to take advantage of the available recruitment resources.
The mission of the Office of Professional Practice (OPP) is to facilitate the experiential education and Professional Practice of Purdue University students within the academic environment of the institution and its global partners; to participate in academic research within the field of Professional Practice; and to assist the academic units with enhanced employer engagement. Committed to fostering a holistic student experience, the OPP offers formal programs in 5-Session Co-Op, 3-Session Co-Op, internship, and research formats.
