Graduate School Awards
The Graduate School invites graduate students, postdoctoral trainees, faculty, and staff to participate in the various nomination and application processes outlined for award programs. A range of awards, recognizing and honoring the outstanding efforts of students, faculty members, and graduate programs, is available.
There are several different awards and honors that are open to nomination, including:
- Purdue Provost's Award for Outstanding Graduate Mentor
- Purdue Graduate School Excellence in Teaching Award
- Purdue Graduate School Mentoring Award for Postdoctoral Trainees
- Purdue Graduate School Mentoring Award for Graduate Students
- Purdue Sigma Xi Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Fellow Research Awards Competition
- Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools (MAGS) awards
- Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) awards
- Schmidt Science Fellows award
- Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings invitation
All Purdue awards are chosen by University representatives; the others are awarded by outside organizations. The MAGS and CGS awards both include several separate awards for teaching, mentoring, thesis writing and dissertation writing.
