Returning Students

In this section, returning students refer to those who previously studied at Purdue West Lafayette, took some time off from being enrolled in classes, and would now like to return to studying on campus.

Below we discuss the following:

  • Resuming Studies within One Year (Both Undergraduate and Graduate Students)
  • Undergraduate Students (Re-entry and Readmission)

Resuming Studies within One Year

Undergraduate and Graduate students: If you have enrolled at Purdue within a year, please contact your academic advisor or contact to learn more about course registration. After speaking to your academic advisor or contact, please submit MyISS (BoilerKey Required)> General Services > Ask Student Counselor (ASC) eform to inform ISS that you plan to return to Purdue and an immigration counselor will provide you information on your next step(s), such as the Resuming on Campus Studies process.

Undergraduate Students

Re-entry

If you are an undergraduate student who previously studied at Purdue West Lafayette, left in good academic standing, and want to return after having no registration for more than a calendar year, you may need to apply for re-entry through Undergraduate Admissions.

For international students, the most common re-entry application is for those who served one or more years in military service and plan to return to Purdue.
