Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP)
The Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP) program is designed to support graduate students who are interested in the professoriate and who are committed to advancing diversity, inclusion, and belonging in the academy. The program offers a series of personal and professional development workshops, mentoring, and outreach activities to help prepare students for the professoriate.

Steps to apply/requirements for application
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA recipients that have graduated from a U.S. High School, have advanced to candidacy, and be a full-time graduate student at the Purdue West Lafayette campus.
- Apply to Purdue AGEP Program through the application portal.
- Upload a current CV/Resume.
- Upload a 1-page description of your research.
- Upload a personal statement no more than two pages in length that demonstrates your commitment to enhancing diversity, inclusion, and belonging in the academy and describes your intentions to continue your commitment as a faculty member. You should also address how you would benefit from participation in this program.
- Provide name, email, and phone number of your primary faculty advisor from Purdue University. Your advisor will receive an email to complete a short questionnaire confirming your good standing in your department and approving your participation in the AGEP Scholar Program.
