Length of time at CHL:
Before joining the CHL in 2013, I worked at Purdue University for eight years. I served five years as the WorkLife Administrator for WorkLife Programs providing direction for Work / Life programs and Employee Assistance programs in the development of health and wellness programs for faculty and staff. I served three years as the business manager for the Bindley Bioscience Center and the Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship in Discovery Park.
Prior to coming to Purdue University, I served as the administrative / director of ancillary / clinical services for Arnett Health Systems where I managed a variety of physician practices and clinical departments. Clinical experiences include intensive care, home health care, managed care/benefit administration and quality improvement. Business experiences includes program development, strategic planning, personal management, contract negotiations and fiscal management.
Why do you like working at the CHL?
I love providing one-on-one and / or group health education and coaching to assist individuals in meeting their health and wellness goals. I enjoy getting to know my clients and having a referral network of providers, pharmacists, counselors and a dietitian on site with easy access to deliver comprehensive health and wellness care. As a team, we work together to coordinate our patients’ care needs. Making a difference in one’s life is very important to me.
Philosophy of Care:
As your health coach, I will take time to get to know you so I can help you obtain your goals. If you are not sure how to get started on your wellness journey, I will brain storm with you to develop a wellness vision with a plan to become your best self. I will assist you with setting behavior goals that will work for your lifestyle so you will succeed. My goal is to support, inspire and motivate you to become the best you can be.
What do you like to do when you’re not at the CHL?
I am married with two adult children and two adorable granddaughters! I enjoy spending time with family and especially playing with the grandchildren. I love being active – I enjoy long walks, jogging and cycling. I love to read mysteries and health journals.
Fun fact about me:
I enjoy watching Disney animated movies with my granddaughters then dancing and singing the songs from the movie when the movie ends.
