Policy Numbering System
Each of Purdue's system-wide policies is numbered according to the volume and chapter to which it belongs according to the outline below. Executive memoranda retain their original numbers and are required to be converted to a policy when they are updated or revised in any way. A system-wide standard has the letter S followed by a number to signify that it is a standard, not a policy.
