Pathway to Purdue with Pride

PI: Lowell Kane

While Purdue has made significant strides in creating a more welcoming campus for the LGBTQ+ community, it is still broadly viewed as more conservative amongst Indiana institutions. We propose a targeted campaign to Indiana high schools highlighting the unique programs at Purdue including the LGBTQ Center, academic opportunities, and student engagement. This campaign will be coupled with customized campus tours for prospective students emphasizing these initiatives. Effectiveness will be measured through targeted surveys. The primary goals include promoting Purdue as an inclusive institution, encouraging students to pursue their degrees at Purdue, and increasing awareness of LGBTQ+ contributions towards campus diversity.
