How to Re-Register Your Student Organization

Re-registrations are to be submitted by the incoming president.

How to re-register your student organization

  1. Re-registrations are processed in BoilerLink. If you are not seeing an option to re-register, make sure you are listed as the President of your organization on your roster. If you are not, the previous President and Treasurer or your Advisor can make that change, following the steps below
    1. Log into BoilerLink
    2. Click on the block in the upper right corner and click “Manage”
    3. In the upper left corner, click the 3-line menu bar and click “Roster”
    4. Make sure your new President is on your roster. If they are not, you will need to invite them to join your roster and they will need to accept the invitation prior to assigning their role
    5. Click on the pencil icon to the right of their name and select “President” as their position
  2. Advisor Agreement Form: The incoming president and advisor will complete and sign the Advisor Agreement Form (form is attached to this email). We are accepting typed names as signatures at this time.
  3. President and Treasurer training certification in Bright Space: The incoming president and treasurer will be required to take an online training found here: http://www.training.purdue.edu/SAOTraining. A screenshot of completion for both the president and treasurer is a required field in the re-registration form you will submit in BoilerLink.
  4. You will be required to submit names, emails and PUID numbers for the president and treasurer and name and email for your advisor.
  5. Collect the documents and information that you will be required to upload into your re-registration. These documents do not get emailed to us, you will be prompted to upload them during your re-registration submission.
  6. Once you have your documents and information ready, please login to BoilerLink. Click on the block in the upper right corner and select “Manage”. Then, click on your organization. You will see a blue re-registration button. Clicking that button will start the re-registration process for your organization.
  7. If you need to close the re-registration form before you are able to complete it, you can come back and finish at any point. Click the grey bubble with your first initial in the top right of your screen and then click “Submissions”. Then click on the “Organization Registrations tab. Click on the eye icon to the right of the organization name to finish your submission. You can also use this section to check the status. An In Progress status means you have started the form but have not submitted. Approved status means your organization has successfully re-registered. Denied status means you will need to make edits to the form to be considered fully re-registered.

Please note that updating your roster in BoilerLink is for your organization's internal management, it does not notify SAO or BOSO/COOL with the updates you are making. The only way to update BOSO/COOL access is through the re-registration process.

Organization constitutions are not part of the re-registration process. If you have made edits to your organization's constitution, please submit the updated version on BoilerLink here: https://boilerlink.purdue.edu/submitter/form/start/486242.
