About the Graduate School Toolkit
The Graduate School Toolkit provides a useful “Intranet” platform for general communications between the Graduate School staff, and personnel in the graduate departments and programs.
The site address is www.purdue.edu/gradschool/toolkit. Experience it yourself, bookmark it, and share it with others. A Purdue Career Account is required.
You will find six tabs at the top of the page in addition to the home page.
The News & Events page has an archive of all blogs. The page provides a headlines of each blog, with a Read More tab.
Clicking on the Read More tab will open that blog’s content.
The Slate page has three options: main page, Slate Documents, and Slate Videos. Depending on what is selected, a page of professional development resources appear. These resources are ones developed by the Office of Graduate Admissions for users of Slate. Slate users can watch the videos or read the documents to learn more about Slate.
The Records page also has three options: main page, Documents, and Videos. The Documents page contains information about Fall 2017 Candidate Resources, Plans of Study, and several General Process Resources. The Videos page contains videos for locating graduate plans, a plan of study overview, and instructions for initiating a plan (staff or student view).
The Recruiting page contains three options: main page, Recruitment Calendar, and Articles and Guidelines for Recruiting. The main page contains PowerPoint templates for applying to Purdue, and a video explaining how international students may apply to Purdue. The Recruitment Calendar displays all recruitment events that the Graduate School will participate in. The Articles and Guidelines for Recruiting features industry articles on the topic.
The Reports page contains a main page and 6 reports: Recruitment and Admissions Map; Graduate Admissions Scorecard; Destinations for Graduate Applicants; New Admit Survey; Official Apps, Admits, & Metrics; and Student Quality. Each of the reports are explained on the main page.
New information and resources are being added to the Graduate School Toolkit regularly by the Offices of Graduate Admissions and Records. Updated resources for the Records area in particular will be in place at the end of the fall session to help scaffold the transition to the new look and feel of the Graduate School Database after the move to PHP scripting language.
If you have any content recommendations, please share your suggestions through the Graduate School Toolkit Feedback survey. We value your feedback, and will continue to work to provide resources to help support you in your efforts with graduate students.
