Time Management App: Shovel
Shovel is a real-time college planner app that Purdue is offering free to all students; it can help you to schedule your time effectively with less stress. Ever have the sinking feeling that you don't have enough time for an assignment? Or when three midterms in a week catch you completely off guard? With Shovel you can enter your course requirements, co-curricular commitments, and/or employment hours--and be able to balance your time so that you also schedule downtime and breaks. Shovel is a tool that can assist you in creating structure to your days , and avoid the risk of sitting in front of your computer for long stretches of time. The Chemistry Resource Room (CRR) provides free tutoring for students taking General and Organic Chemistry. In addition to a staff of tutors (graduate and undergraduate students who have taken the courses), the CRR has reference books, model kits, information on private tutors, and a place for group study. It is located in the Wetherill Laboratory of Chemistry (WTHR) Room 117b.Check the CRR website (link below) for hours.
Chemistry Resource RoomWriting Lab
The Purdue Writing Lab offers many different services for students including one-on-one tutorials and general writing workshops. We can consult on ideas and first drafts in addition to helping writers revise and edit documents based on feedback from instructors and advisors. We also teach strategies for improving sentence-level writing. The Purdue Presentation Center is available for both virtual and in-person appointments. Students can register for an appointment using BoilerConnect. Virtual appointments will receive an email with a link to the virtual meeting room prior to appointment time.

The Supplemental Instruction (SI) Program offers peer-led, collaborative learning and study sessions in traditionally challenging courses. Biology Resource CenterCOSINE (College of Science Instructional Nightly Enrichment)
COSINE (College of Science Instructional Nightly Enrichment) is a free tutoring program to help students succeed in first year science courses in math, biology, and chemistry. The WiE-WISP Tutoring Program provides free homework and study support for 100 and 200 level Math, Science, and Engineering courses. This semester, WiE-WISP is offering in-person and online support. In-person tutoring is held Sunday through Thursday from 7:00-10:00 PM in the University Residences Support Center in Shreve Hall. Online tutoring is also held Sunday through Thursday 7:00-10:00 PM Eastern Time; visit https://bit.ly/WiE-WISP-PU to sign in and receive a link to the online session. Sessions will begin Sunday, August 28 (fall) and Tuesday, January 17 (spring).
