Graduate Gold Rush Welcomes New Graduate Students to Purdue

New graduate students at the West Lafayette campus participated in the Graduate Gold Rush on Aug. 18, an orientation hosted by The Graduate School. Over 800 graduate students attended this half-day event, which included a welcome convocation, resource fair, and professional development workshops.

Driven to Race: A Team of Graduate Students Persistently Pursue a Grand Prix Win

The first time Ramin Ansari, a 56-year-old Ph.D. candidate in Civil Engineering, thought about attending Purdue was 25 years ago, when he saw his first Grand Prix race. At the Graduate School, we understand that effective mentoring is essential to the recruitment, retention, and advancement of talented graduate students. That is why we established the Graduate Student Mentoring Fellow Program in January 2022. Learn more about how two College of Engineering Graduate Student Fellows worked on an Individual Development Plan project focused on developing an academic and professional development tool tailored to new and advanced graduate students.
